A Message from the Chairman:
Chattanooga and the entire region are experiencing an incredible period of growth. With Volkswagen as the catalyst, our regional economy is on a steady upswing with regular announcements of new companies locating in their growing supplier park. Additionally, the development of Wacker Chemie and the expansions at Alstom, Chattem and many other companies continue to fuel the economy. Small business and new business start-ups are growing, our downtown is thriving, the tourist and convention industry is strong and more and more visitors are coming to our city every day - many of them through the Chattanooga Airport.
As Chairman of the Airport Authority, it is my pleasure to inform you the airport is solidly positioned to support the region's growth. The airport is steadily working to improve existing infrastructure, build new facilities and partner with our airlines to increase their awareness about our growing economy.
The Chattanooga Airport has been fortunate to benefit from the vision and leadership of Mike Landguth as President and CEO since 2004. Mike recently announced that he will be joining the Raleigh-Durham International Airport as Aviation Director and Terry Hart has been named as Interim President and CEO of the Chattanooga Airport. The Board of Commissioners will undertake a search for Mike's permanent successor, but we know that in the meantime, our team at the airport will carry on their work for the community.
Whether you are flying out of our airport for a business trip, taking a family vacation, or visiting the Scenic City for the first time, we thank you for making the Chattanooga Airport an integral part of your travel plans. Please feel free to contact us if we can be of service to you in your travels.
Best wishes,
Daniel R. Jacobson
