(January 21, 2005) – The Chattanooga Metropolitan
Airport increased enplanements (passenger boardings) in 2004 by 3.06%,
ending the year with 244,470 total boardings. Deplanements for the year rose
by 3.25%, reaching 239,688. Total passenger traffic through the Chattanooga
Airport in 2004 was 484,158.
“Thanks to the support of our community partners, the
Chattanooga Airport has reversed a years-long trend of declining
enplanements,” said Mike Landguth, President and CEO of the Chattanooga
Metropolitan Airport Authority. “As our fares become more and more
competitive and we continue adding flight options for local travelers, we
look forward to building on the steady growth we have seen in 2004.”
Effective February 7, 2005, the Chattanooga Metropolitan
Airport will offer 27 daily departures on American Eagle, Delta Connection
Carriers, Northwest Airlink and US Airways Express with nonstop service to
Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Memphis, and Washington D.C.
