LEGAL NOTICE TO BIDDERS TAXIWAY ALPHA-CONTRACT 4

Sealed bids for the construction of Taxiway Alpha Relocation-Contract 4 will be received by the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority at the Airport Administrative Offices in the airport terminal located at 1001 Airport Road, Suite 14, Lovell Field, Chattanooga, TN on May 6, 2008 until 2:00 p.m. local time, and immediately thereafter will be opened and publicly read. The mailing address for the above location is Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority, 1001 Airport Road, Suite 14, Chattanooga TN, 37421.

The project consists of the demolition and reconstruction of an asphalt taxiway and taxiway connectors and replacement of electrical lighting and signage. The project encompasses all sitework, erosion control, drainage, manholes and inlets, asphalt milling and placement, taxiway edge lighting and signage, pavement marking, turfing and other related work as shown on the drawing and and/or in the specifications.

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held April 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the CMAA Board Room, 1001 Airport Rd, Suite 14, Chattanooga, TN 37421. Immediately following the meeting a tour will be available of the project site.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority would like to thank all of the firms that submitted Requests for Qualification Packages for the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Terminal Access Control Project.  We understand and appreciate that a great deal of effort went into each package. 

After an exhaustive review of each submittal and consideration of the unique requirements of the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport, the Evaluation Team reached consensus and the following firms will be asked to submit a Request for Proposal.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS RUNWAY 15 PAPI SYSTEM

The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority will receive proposals for the Construction of the Runway 15 PAPI System at the Authority Offices in the Executive Board Room, on April 18th 2008, until 2:00 p.m. local time at which time and place all proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals received after the stated time will not be accepted.

The work is generally described as follows:

The installation of a Precision Approach Path Indicator system for the Runway 15 at the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport.

No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of 60 days.
