Airport Police Officer T he Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority (CMAA) is seeking to fill the position of Airport Police Officer. Applicants must possess current State of Tennessee certification in accordance with TCA 38-08-106. General duties include Law Enforcement and Security. Related duties include civil aviation security; public safety dispatch; traffic control and enforcement; physical property security; operating and maintaining police equipment; patrolling airport and responding to calls, ensuring enforcement of all applicable Airport Authority rules and regulations and state, federal and local laws. Investigates, apprehends and arrests when necessary. Starting salary: $29,042.58 per year. Part-Time Airline Agents Primary responsibility of the position is providing quality customer service.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: issuing tickets, checking
travel documents, working at arrival or departure gates, loading and unloading
passenger luggage from aircraft, operating ground equipment, parking the aircraft
at the gates, ensuring the on-time departures of aircraft, light cleaning of
aircraft interior, providing special assistance to passengers, and successfully
resolving customer issues. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have
a valid state driver's license, the ability to lift 75 lbs. and pass drug screen
and background check. Weekend and holiday work required. Starting salary $8.25 per
hour with raise after three months of satisfactory job performance. Partial tuition
reimbursement available.
